God has been giving us many opportunities to lead worship lately. After playing shows for over 10 years of our lives, leading worship is quite an awkward thing. It’s very, very different. The idea is not to perform, or to even be noticed at all, but to facilitate worship; or provide an environment in which people can worship. While Scales music or what we do at shows is not about us, but all about God (we hope), there is still that aspect of a performance. With worship, sometimes I feel it may be better to be down in one of those orchestra pits, totally unseen, and just provide a soundtrack of sorts. Anyhow, I am quite thankful for the opportunity and hope to learn and grow from it. Hallelujah.
