I remember it. 6th grade. I needed the clothes. I needed those brand names. It was vital to my survival as a 6th grader. Then, somewhere along the way I realized that brand name clothing and “coolness” would never give me the acceptance I was looking for. True friendship, true Love does not operate under conditions like that. The love of God is unconditional. And, whether I knew it or not back then, I started finding that acceptance in Him, through His people. So friends, forget what everyone else says. Forget those kids who hold you to brand name standards. Go find your true friends. There’s nothing cooler than true love.
